Contaktly privacy policy

Contaktly sends you, by mail, the messages people write in your contact forms, without showing them your address. It is made by Tekartik. This page says what Contaktly stores, where, for how long, and why. Contaktly has no advertising and no analytics.

Your account

You sign in to the Contaktly web app with your Google account. Contaktly keeps what it needs from it: an identifier, your verified email address (where your messages go), your name and the address of your photo (shown above your forms). They are refreshed when you come back to the app.

Your forms

For each form: its settings (languages, fields, colours), when it takes messages, and, with the plan, its title, introduction, picture and image (the files you send) and its lasting addresses. They are public by nature: anyone with the link of a form sees its page, your name and your picture, never your email address.

The messages people send you

A message holds what the visitor typed: a name, an email address (to reply to), a subject and a text. It is mailed to you and kept in your inbox in the app for 30 days, then deleted. You can delete it before. To keep spam down, Contaktly also keeps the times of the messages sent to you in the last hour, and counts the messages of the day.

Reports

Anyone can report a form from its page. A report holds the reason, the details and the email of the person reporting, and is read by Tekartik to decide whether to block the form.

The plan

When payment opens, you pay the plan through Stripe: your card never reaches Contaktly. Contaktly keeps the identifiers of your Stripe customer and subscription, its status and its period, to know whether you have the plan.

Where it is stored, and by whom

  • Accounts, forms, messages and reports: Google Cloud (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage), in the United States.
  • The server: Google Cloud Functions, in Belgium.
  • The mails: Amazon Simple Email Service, in Frankfurt.
  • Payments: Stripe.

These providers process the data for Contaktly only.

Your rights

You can see, correct and delete your forms and your messages in the app, and delete a form at any time. To get a copy of your data, to delete your account, or for any question, write to Tekartik from the contact page. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
